My new article in La Tribune on the efficiency of air transport policies to improve regional develop

Both political actors and researchers agree on the crucial role of air transport in regional economic development. However, not all regions are attractive to airlines and government action is sometimes necessary to open up these regions. But the modalities are numerous and their effectiveness can vary strongly from one country to another. What kind of air policies contribute the most to the regional development ?

This article (in French) offers some insights on this question based on a research article written by Xavier Fageda, Ancor Suarez-Aleman, Tomas Serebrisky et Reinaldo Fioravanti entitled "Air connectivity in remote regions : A comprehensive review of existing transport policies worldwide", published in the Journal of Air Transport Management in 2018.
